Iestyn Scourfield

Managing Director

Originally from Whitland and fluent Welsh speaker, Iestyn’s academic journey began at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin, where he served as head prefect. He later graduated from Cardiff University in 2012 with Upper Second-Class honours in Law (2.1). 

After graduation, Iestyn joined the Childcare Legal Department of Carmarthenshire County Council as a paralegal, gaining valuable experience over a year. He furthered his legal education by completing the Legal Practice Course with a Distinction from Cardiff Law School in June 2014. He started with the firm shortly thereafter, qualifying in January 2016. He was made a partner in 2017 and now serves as a director of the company and head of the Private Client department.  

Iestyn’s legal expertise covers a range of areas: 

  • Wills 
  • The administration of estates and trusts 
  • Lifetime planning (including Powers of Attorney and tax advice) 
  • Court of protection matters, including Deputyship and contested applications  
  • Commercial property – specifically renewable energy projects. 

Outside of work, Iestyn is a dedicated sportsman. He represented Wales in cricket at the junior level and played for Cardiff University’s first XI. He currently plies his trade for Carmarthen Wanderers Cricket Club and now finally admits he is semi-retired from football.  

Away from work and sports, Iestyn enjoys exploring the West Wales coastline with his wife, sons, and dogs. 

Nia Davies

Director

Nia is Head of our Commercial Department and deals with all manner of Commercial and Commercial Property matters. 

Having studied for her law degree at the University of the West of England in Bristol where she was awarded first class honors, Nia went on to complete her training at a leading Cardiff law firm. During this time, Nia gained a wealth of invaluable Commercial experience and was involved in many large-scale projects. 

Born and bred in Pembrokeshire, Nia returned in 2017 to join Price and Kelway and immediately began to grow our Commercial Department before becoming a Director in 2019.  

Nia’s clients describe her as enthusiastic and pragmatic and compliment her on her ability to find a solution to problems and ultimately, to get deals done. Clients continue to instruct Nia time and time again, which is testimony to the service she provides.   

Nia has acted on numerous high value transactions including many seven figure business acquisitions and clients regard her assertive and confident approach to such matters as one of her strengths. 

Nia deals with all manner of commercial work including but not limited to: 

  • Site Acquisitions for development projects; 
  • Site Set-up to include planning and infrastructure agreements associated with development projects; 
  • Commercial purchases and sales whether these relate to land or to retail, hospitality or other commercial premises; 
  • Complex property and land matters; 
  • Business purchases and sales whether by a share sale/purchase or an asset sale/purchase; 
  • Commercial finance for projects or purchases; 
  • Landlord and Tenant matters including commercial leases, licenses and other tenancies; 
  • Agricultural tenancies, including grazing licenses; 
  • Farm sales, purchases and diversification; 
  • Advising on Company matters generally to include Shareholders Agreements; 
  • Company Secretary work. 

Nia would be delighted to assist you with any commercial needs that you may have. 

Outside of work, Nia spends her time in the outdoors enjoying all that Pembrokeshire has to offer with her husband, two young boys and their Welsh Sheepdog. 

Samantha George

Director

After completing her Legal Practice Course in Swansea, Sam began working as a paralegal in a Haverfordwest based firm in 2005. Sam secured a training contract with that firm and qualified as a solicitor in 2009, specialising in Family Law. Sam joined Price & Kelway in 2011 and was made a Partner in the firm in 2017. 

 

Sam is the Head of the Family department and advises in all areas of Family Law to include:- 

  • Private law children issues (which includes disputes about where children will live and/or contact) 
  • Public law children issues (cases where social services are involved) 
  • Domestic Abuse 
  • Divorce 
  • Financial settlements on divorce 
  • Pre/Post Nuptial Agreements 
  • Cohabitation Agreements 
  • Cohabitation Disputes. 

 

Sam has been a member of the Law Society Family Law Advanced Panel since 2021. 

 

Sam is a member of the Legal Aid Agency’s Peer Review Team and in that role, she assesses the standard of Family Legal Aid Practitioners. 

 

Sam adopts a compassionate approach whilst providing honest and robust advice to clients, ensuring that they have the best support possible during challenging times in their lives. 

 

In her spare time, Sam enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Along with exploring the Pembrokeshire coastline.

Gareth Lewis

Gareth is the Managing Director of Price & Kelway and proudly heads up our busy and successful Residential Conveyancing Department. 

 

He joined Price & Kelway in 2007 and was quickly promoted to partner level in 2009 after proving his worth to both the firm and our clients. Now with over 20 years’ post qualification experience, Gareth has handled thousands of conveyancing transactions for clients across Pembrokeshire and beyond.  

 

Clients appreciate Gareth for his friendly, down-to-earth approach and his attention to detail. Gareth’s unwavering focus on prompt, proactive service has fostered a loyal client base and established strong relationships with local Estate Agents and Mortgage Brokers. He takes great satisfaction knowing that his clients repeatedly recommend him as a ‘trusted adviser’ to their friends, family and associates. 

 

Gareth is supported by his knowledgeable and experienced Assistants, Jo Hunt and Gloria Atyeo. Together they form an excellent team that provides exceptional service.
